Before any of us existed, these lands were the home of the Dakota tribe. The fertile Mississippi Valley became the place for their tribe to flourish and grow. Though the land was welcoming to them, conflicts, disease, and other trials have resulted in a tragic history. Today on Culture Clique we cover the Winona Dakota Unity Alliance Gathering in Unity Park to hear the stories of individuals who cherish the Native Cultures of Winona.
