It’s time to release your inner geek! Today on Culture Clique we take you to Nerd Nite at Ed’s No Name Bar in Winona. The topic? “What the hell is going on here: Dante in a time of political division”. Andrew Higl, professor of English at Winona State University takes us on a stroll through Dante’s inferno from The Divine Comedy. Professor Higl leaves it up to the listener to interpret Dante’s inferno as it might relate to today’s time and famous figures. He does, however, fill us in on the importance of the types of sins for each level of hell. We also discuss how the Divine Comedy can be interpreted throughout different periods in history.
