Minnesota ‘n Ice: Ice Bikes Part 2

Last week we took you to Lake Winona to talk to some guys with a unique winter hobby. Some of them have been lifelong friends and some just joined the group this winter. Their ages range from teenagers to retirees but they all had more than one thing in common; That is, a love of dirtbikes and a need for speed on the ice. Today we’ve got part two of our conversation with the riders of the ice bikes, on Culture Clique. Original air date: 02/04/21 Culture Clique is written and produced by KQAL FM on the campus of Winona State University and is made possible by a grant from the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
Winter in Minnesota. It’s a lot of different things to a lot of different people. Some love it, some hate it, but we all get through it somehow. Some people like to hunker down and cozy up to a fire and some like to get outside and play in the cold.
We’ve all heard of MN nice, well get ready for Minnesota ‘n Ice, a special Culture Clique series where we’ll take a look at the way Minnesotans and Winonans in particular get out and enjoy our frozen waters.
